RAA provides free kids ART at local Roslindale events such as the Egg Hunt, Tree Lighting, Summer Concerts and Farmers’ Market.

“The Roslindale Arts Alliance has been an enthusiastic presence at many of our community events, providing dynamic projects that get kids using their hands and their creative spirit. Their contribution to our summer Farmers’ Market helped us bring this community event to new levels - free activities like ‘recycle art’ and ‘zucchini racecars’ were a huge attraction for families, and provided engaging creative outlets for kids, and their weekly artist’s tent offered an opportunity for adults in the community to showcase their talents. Their annual Open Studios is an outstanding event that’s impeccably organized and has captured the attention of the whole city. The Roslindale Arts Alliance is an invaluable resource to the Roslindale community.”
In 2009 RAA did a city wide art project with Boston Centers for Youth and Family to celebrate its 35th Anniversary. RAA worked with youth from 14 community centers across the City of Boston to produce collages about their community. The collages were presented and auctioned off at a gala event at the House of Blues in Boston November 2009. Click here to read Roslindale Transcript newspaper article about the project.
