Week 1 - Emotion Face
How to draw faces & depict emotions, cultures, age and gender. Learn shading techniques using charcoal pencils.

Week 2 – Trees
Learn to draw realistic trees through the 4 seasons.  Practice highlighting techniques with chalk on black paper to create dramatic moonlight scenes.

Week 3 - Block Printing
Easily create bold block prints using soft foam sheets and tempera paint.

Week 4 – Tiles
Create beautiful ready-to-display professional works of art on ceramic tiles with paint pens and magic modeling clay.

Michele conducted after-school art classes for Spaulding-Memorial Elementary School, Newton and the Hennigan Elementary School Prevention NOW! Program, Jamaica Plain. Sponsored by the Fuller Museum of Art, Brockton to teach art at the Boys & Girls Club of Brockton. Worked with children in the Survivor Youth Group at Bowdoin Street Health Center, Dorchester and Survivors of Violence Conference to produce peace banners/memory tiles. Also conducted arts and crafts classes for senior citizens at the Boston Blackstone Apartments complex and children at It’s All About Arts, Roslindale and the Ohrenberger Community Center, West Roxbury. Provided a school vacation ArtVentures camp at the Brookline Arts Center. Conducted portfolio preparation classes with both adults and children. Currently teaching children's art at the Ohrenberger Community Center and the  West Roxbury and Roslindale Libraries.

RAA Class Policies

You can take a 10% discount with a Roslindale Community Center or a Roslindale Arts Alliance Membership

Minimum of 5 students must be pre-registered for class to take place

In some classes there will be a materials fee payable to teacher the first night of class. Some classes list materials you will bring

Cancellations with refund only with a week’s notice.

If a class is cancelled due to inclement weather or the closureof the Community Center, the class will be rescheduled. Students will be notified by phone.
