Our 2010 Spring Fundraiser will be Saturday, May 15th from 7:00 - 10:00 pm at The MAC. The Hyde Park Art Association was founded in 1988. We are now a 501c3 nonprofit organization and are run by volunteers. We recently opened The Menino Arts Center (The MAC) which provides affordable artist studios, financial aid for students in need, weekly free studio time for the general public, free monthly art education and appreciation seminars, twelve gallery exhibits annually, a meeting space for other 501c3 organizations and schools in need of space. Master of Ceremonies: City Councilor Rob Consalvo. Special Guest Appearances by: The Honorable Mayor Thomas M. Menino The night will be filled with music and art, a silent and live auction, amazing food and beer/wine and good friends. |

YOGA FOR BEGINNERS with Jean at Roslindale Yoga Beginner's Yoga Thursday night 6-7:15 PM Preregister for 8 weeks $108. by 4/29/10. In a safe and nurturing atmosphere, this six-week series will teach the beginning student the foundations of yoga. Starting with standing and seated poses, the body will also be prepared for inversions and mild backbends. Moving at each student's individual pace, a better understanding of body alignment and balance will be gained. Students will experience greater sensitivity and freedom in the body. |
